In the air Budapest

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

12-18 december 2009

Kitchen Budapest is seeking for participants: we are looking for programmers, artist and designers, architects, urban designers, ecologists, biologists, chemists, sociologists, anthropologists to participate a one week workshop about the air quality of Budapest.

The workshop leader will be Nerea Calvillo, Spanish artist who has previously developed In the air Madrid at MediaLab Prado. This is a visualization project which aims to make visible the microscopic and invisible agents of Madrid's air (gases, particles, pollen, diseases, etc), to see how they perform, react and interact with the rest of the city. The workshop was lead by Nerea Calvillo and involved a group of architects, interaction designers, and anthropologists. The project ended up with a web based dynamic model and a physical prototype. More info: In the Air

With the Budapest edition participants are going to adapt the concept of the above mentioned project to the local conditions and create new content. The sessions will be based on common reflection, thinking, proposing, idea-sharing and building prototypes.
