During Budapest Design Week 2011, Kitchen Budapest media lab and HVG Könyvek publisher organise a workshop in relation to the Subjective Atlas of Hungary, a book published in summer 2011. Workshop participants can create custom covers for the atlas, and they can take their custom-printed copies home right away.

Chromosonia is an installation for the facade of the Ars Electronica Center. We provide the means for anyone with a portable music player to visualize the music they are currently listening to on the Ars Electronica facade featuring three levels of mapping: perceptual, informational and social.
Finally we are about to release the atlas in which fifty young visual authors were invited to put their homeland in perspective. At the launch event you can hold a copy in your hands and meet the authors and editors of the atlas.

Baltan Laboratories and Kitchen Budapest are collaborating to bring their different working methodologies and networks together in a series of two workshops in which Dutch and Hungarian artists and designers explore new ways of embodying digital data. The first workshop takes place at Kitchen Budapest from 27 September to 1 October 2011.
Kibu's live coding group Draft Report has been selected as participant performer for LPM (Live Performers Meeting) in Rome, Italy, 19-22 May, 2011. The group performed the result of a weekly Kinect workshop held in Kitchen Budapest in the last 3 months.
Emilie Grenier and Duncan Speakman developed 'We Are Forests' through a shared residency at Pervasive Media Studio, Netherlands Media Arts Institute (Amsterdam, NL), 5daysoff festival (Amsterdam, NL) and Kitchen Budapest (HU). Their talk tonight in Bristol describes the project and the experience of working across multiple European locations, organization and cultures.
In partnership with Ecowizer (www.ecowizer.com), Kitchen Budapest organized a two-day workshop (May 5-6.) to inspire, brainstorm about, and create concepts of new eco-solutions that hold the promise of helping people and businesses reduce their negative environmental impact.
